AHA Honey limited supplies healthy colonies, provide necessary cares and undertake maintenance require. So our customers can enjoy their honey from their own hive without any effort. AHA offer payment option for its services, a monthly basis payment (50$/month) require to be paid by automatic payment or yearly basis payment* (450$/year exclude GST).
We will inspect your beehive twice a month to keep your bees healthy all around the year. You will get an early notification about the date and the time the visit are planned for us to have a free access to the hive.
We keep you updated on your hive performance by providing a monthly report following our inspections. Its a good way to see how well your bees are going and what we have done.

* Yearly fees are to paid on the agreement day between AHA Honey Limited and the new tenant.
AHA Honey works with local contractors to get its honey extracted, packed and tested through certify facilities. Providing a premium service is to take your health in consideration and guarantee your honey meet the food safety standards. Documentation can be provided on request.
Cost will be calculated on the volume of honey harvested.
Bees have caught your curiosity and now you wish to learn more about them? AHA Honey is happy to provide you guidance and mentoring. Together, we will visit your hive and get you familiar on the hive management process along the year.
*Fees are per session.
AHA Honey has commitments towards the National Apiculture Authority in New Zealand. These charges will be additional to the rental cost, as they vary every year. All documentation will be administered by AHA, with copes made available to the landowner upon request. As a Backyard beekeeper, it should be noted that it is a mandatory requirement to be registered with Apiculture NZ, and to be audited and inspected regularly.

1. AHA Honey will requires a pre-inspection with the new hive tenant to discuss about the appropriate place for their hive(s) and the access points. Vehicle access to your hive(s) needs tone advised on the application form. Please detail the preferred time to visit.
2. Either in Rural or urban area, it is the hive's tenant responsibility to warn its neighborhood about their intention to have beehive on their property. AHA Honey's liability will not be engaged in case of any conflicts involving the bees, such as swarming, bee sting that may lead to potential allergies and others.
3. AHA Honey will service your hive twice a month by notifying the hive tenant on the inspection day. However base on the hive state, we might increase the frequency of our visits according the needs of the colony. Any extra visit will be free of charge.
4. Payments are expected to be paid before the due date, any late will occur penalties. AHA Honey will send you two notices if they remain unanswer, AHA has the right to get the hive back from the hive tenant.
5. AHA Honey will not be liable for the loss of the colonies due to external factors such as: diseases exposure (American Foulbrood Brood), Hive tenant poor practice (if they visit the hive on their own and make mistake), any events that can cause damage to the hive (farm animals disrupting the bees, Flooding, Falling trees...), Varroa mite invasion and others. No refund will be offered in this case, however we can usually predict the hive health through the monthly inspection and act accordingly.
6. AHA Honey do not recommend to the hive tenant to take the initiative to visit their hive on their own, unless they have sufficient skills and knowledges to perform it. AHA Honey would like to be informed of any initiative to visit the hive, the outcome and what has been done on the hive.
7. AHA Honey can also extract, pack and test your honey at the season end, for additional cost. Your honey will be delivered in 10kg bucket according the volume of honey harvest. Alternatively, AHA can package your honey into small jars. A quote will be prepared based on the volume of honey, the number of jars required ad the service type selected.
8. In the event, the hive tenant no longer wishes to continue keeping bees, AHA Honey will collect the boxes as soon as final payments have been cleared.
9. For further training sessions for those hive tenants who wish to become more involved with their hive(s) AHA Honey Limited can provide personalized training sessions at 150$/3hours session, as required.
10. In the event landowner prefers to purchase their own hives, supers, bee suit & clothing, honey extractor and other equipment, AHA Honey limited can also assist with the installation and monthly maintenance for as long as required. These charges will be $50/month.
Glossary:
Hive tenant: The recipient of the hive, the rental tenant of the hive. In the event the land owner does not own the land, he/she will be required to seek permission from the actual landowner.
Super (also known as boxes): As the season progresses the bees fill the frames inside the boxes. New supers are added at the discretion or with the approval of AHA Honey Limited. Each boxes can holds about 20 kilos of honey.
